What is Fidgeting?

Fidgeting is the act of making small movements, especially with the hands and feet, and is commonly associated with lack of attention. Even more shocking, is the fact that fidgeters typically don't realize they're fidgeting.

What Causes Fidgeting?

Believe it or not, ADD or ADHD is not the only cause for fidgeting. Fidgeting is the outward expression of a variety of conditions or factors, including:

Stress
Nervousness
Anxiety
Impatience
Agitation
Anger
Boredom
Hyperactivity

    Common Fidgety Habits

    This list is just a small sampling of common habits of fidgeters. the beginning

    Finger biting or fingernail biting
    Lip or cheek biting
    Grinding and Clenching your teeth
    Clicking of your tongue
    Snapping bubble gum
    Sucking and/or Chewing on pens or pencils
    Clicking pen-tops
    Tapping your feet
    Bouncing your leg
    Tapping your fingers
    Twirling and/or Touching your hair
    Playing with your hands in your pockets
    Twirling a ring around your finger
    Cracking your knuckles
    Making noises with your mouth

    While fidgeting isn't the worst habit, it can be quite annoying and distracting to others, and to yourself. We believe there are much better ways to channel fidgety tendencies and are on a mission to provide fun gadgets that allow fidgeters to fidget freely.
